Is CELTA a big pro or is it inessential?

Hello all!
I'm a non-native English speaker planning to teach English in Japan. I can see CELTA is like the best of all TEFL courses, but do Japanese employers also require it? Do they care about WHICH course I finished or is it just the TEFL qualification they are about?
