Working Holiday Visa from UK

I have a few concerns about my visa application in the UK.
How important is it to fill in:
A place to stay?
My arrival date?
A guarantor or inviter?
My girlfriend is Japanese, I am unable to stay with her but she could be my guarantor/inviter, would writing that I have a Japanese girlfriend help my application more than leaving it blank?
Also I have a pretty short 'reasons for applying' at around 100 words. Would I need more?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
