In one of the books I have come across a festival that is called 鳥追い (torioi) or bird chasing, does anyone know if this festival still takes place in Japan? I read that it was popular mostly in the northern part of Honshu, and usually occurred in the beginning of February.
Some info|links about this festival would be appreciated.
