I donft quite get your question – (1) have you already been accepted by a university in Japan that you are asking about what to bring as you start living here (clothing and daily supplies and stuff), or (2) are you asking about how to find a good university to go to and how to enroll there?

Ask the university...
Email is a good option...

Youfll need to first find out which university in Japan you want to go to (are you fluent in Japanese, or are you planning on enrolling into an English language course?), and then contact the specific university for their enrollment requirements, then they will be able to tell you what you need, when you need to apply, what exams (if applicable) there is, etc.

The information you need is all there on each university's official website. If they accept foreign students with language barrier, they will also have the information in foreign languages. If you are trying to enroll as an ordinary Japanese-speaking student, then you should be able to read the Japanese information. Otherwise, you won't be able to keep up with your studies let alone pass the entrance exam.
So, look up websites of universities you wish to go to, and study them WELL before you decide to come here alone.
