Working Remote From Japan 2021/4/4 16:05
Hi all,

Because of the pandemic a lot of people, including myself, are in a lot of trouble.

If I'm working in Japan - proper work visa, residence card, and everything, but want to make extra income

Can I work a remote job from the US, while still living and working in Japan at the same time?

I am US citizen, with proper residence, bank, and everything else.

Thanks

Have you tried? I think it depends on the job, but as a freelancer in Japan, I have had no problem paying freelancers in various countries throughout the years. I'm sure it works vice versa.

If the remote work fits under your current work visa category and you declare the income/pay taxes, you should be ok.
