Bringing Kobudo Weapons 2021/11/29 17:30
I might be going to Japan next year as an Assistant Language Teacher. I am a karate practitioner who also trains with kobudo weapons. I cannot bring all of my weapons with me for logistical reasons, but I would like to bring one or two of the smaller ones. I have a few concerns. Obviously, they cannot be included with carryon luggage. My questions are: Are there any restrictions with non-sword martial arts weapons. Would Japanese customs need to be made aware of and examine them just like swords and firearms?
