what is the use of a yahoo japan account?

From what i understand it has services and stuff you can use when youre in japan. like shopping, or bidding on stuff. etc but should i keep my yahoo japan account? i would like to go to japan one day, but i cant go anything soon.
also sorry if this is a stupid question i just wonder what i should do.
p.s i made this account forever ago like whenever you were still able to make an accout with out a number and use a second email to be able to use it.

just a company account that can be linked to many things, same as:-
apple account
google account
msn account
probably many others accross the globe.

Actually, it allows u access to Japan Auction (aka ebay equivalent).
Issue is that you must have japanese contact number.
