Rainbow Line Summit Park

I am using the Hokuriku Arch Pass. Hence will be travelling from Osaka to Kanazawa. The Rainbow Line Summit Park which the nearest train station is Mihama Station. Possible for a day trip from Mihama , thereafter i proceed to travel to kanazawa the same day? As there is not bus there, possible to get a taxi there , what will the cost be? and when coming back from the Rainbow Line Summit Park, will there be available taxi? Thanks

On weekdays, the return bus will not come unless you make a reservation.

I am purchasing the Hokuriku Arch Pass. Hence, i guess it is be easier that i travel to Mihama Station, and from Miham, i take a taxi to Rainbow Line Mountain Peak Park?

If so, when coming back to Mihama station , as stated, i can request the help from the information center at the summit park to call a taxi that can bring me back to Mihama station?

Also will it snow at the Rainbow Line Mountain Peak Park in the early Feb?

After confirming, it seems that the taxi fare from Mikata Station and Mihama Station is about the same, 5000 to 6000 yen.
A parking fee of 500 yen will be added.
You can also call a taxi from the information center, but it seems that the taxi will come from Mikata Station or Mihama Station, so it may cost an additional 5 to 6000 yen.
Also, it takes a long time for a taxi to arrive.
Therefore, it may be better to negotiate with the driver to wait in the parking lot until the sightseeing is over.

Hence the only way if by Taxi which is very high cost. Also i would not know whether the rainbow line might be open in early feb 2023 due to snowing?

For Mikatagoko Rainbow Line course [3 hours] departing from and arriving at Tsuruga Station. We are planning to visit on 25 Jan '23.

If we wished to extend a couple of hours for the course. Are we able to do so?

And is it safe to drive up to the summit? First time driving in winter condition.

If you have never driven on a snowy road, please do not drive as it is dangerous.

We just happen to be visiting Kanazawa & Fukui area during this time before we head towards Kyoto.

Noted on the rainy/snowy weather. Will be monitoring the live camera at the Rainbow Line Summit as well before deciding if we should proceed.

Mikatagoko Rainbow Line course [3 hours] is a flat rate, so it may be difficult to extend the time.
However, if you negotiate with the taxi driver, you may be able to get an extension for an additional fee.
There is an English-speaking tourist information center in Tsuruga, so if you ask there, they might be able to tell you.
