Family friendly area around Fuji area? 2023/1/10 18:25
We family of 4 (kids are 6 and 3 years old) and we are staying 2 nights in Tokyo. We are wanting to stay around Fuji/kamakura or surrounding areas for extra night or two. Can anyone suggest any area that has a lot of snow and sightseeing? Thank you

Fuji or Kamakura??? those are quite different places.

Kamakura will most likely have no snow at all, but a lot of sightseeing (temples and the like).
Fuji, well, depends when you go if there will be snow or not...
Frankly I would probably consider Hakone instead. many things to do, maybe some snow (again depending on the month you go and hight).

I don't know exactly what tourism you think is.
If you want to enjoy snow, it might be better to go to ski resorts.

Yeti is about 1 hour by bus from Gotemba, so you can stay in Hakone for one day and go skiing.
If you are in Hakone, Sengokuhara area is recommended because of its convenient access.

The Little Prince Museum is closed in March, so please visit if you are interested.

The Hakone Open-Air Museum is also suitable for children to visit.

Fujiten has a bus from Kawaguchiko, so I think it's good to stay at Kawaguchiko and go to play.

Fuji-Q Highland has an impression that there are many roller coasters, but there are also Thomas Land, Lisa and Gaspard Town, and a skating rink, so I think children can enjoy it.
