I had the same problem for my wife and I. Anyone who can do it themselves should, so at least your wife and parents will need to, for your kids it depends on age I suppose.

But the problem that I had was that I had to use a different email address to register my wife, and I had done myself first using her email address because I didnt want to use my work one, so she had to register using a new email address, and I received a Shar-pei look for that.

According to Visit Japan Web instruction manual in English page 30 :-

(2) Add family members traveling with you

Add the details of family members traveling with you use Visit
Japan Web.

You can register up to 10 family members traveling with you.

Entry and return procedures will be processed one person at a
time.

Those who are unable to complete procedures alone, such as
babies and infants, can be registered as family members
traveling with you.

One immigration document is required per person.

Click gAddh to proceed to the gDetails of Family Members
Traveling with You - Entry/Return Procedure Category

Yes, but when you are actually registering it says that you only add people who cant do it themselves, like babies and infants. You can see a reference to it in the screenshot at the foot of page 30.

Adult age users need to do their own. Children can be added to adult users.

Or just do the papaer version upon arrival if that is too difficult of an option.

You can use 1 user for all your family members. No need to register new email account. Inside, you need to fill in the form provided on each family members and you will get the different QR for each member, just make sure each member must have their own QR on their phone or printed paper, thats all. :)

Hi guys, we finally managed to figure out how to create multiple QR codes for each family member under a single email account and wanted to post this to save everyone some time from having to navigate the not-so-user-friendly vjw website.

This is assuming you have added your family members (under register Register User>>Details of family members travelling with you) but like us, did not manage to figure out how to generate >1 QR code under a single account.

You need to go to the "Register planned entry/return" section to generate multuple QR codes:
Register planned entry/return>>click on the most recent planned entry that you have created>>select family name from the Applicant tab>>click on immigration status and customs declaration>>It is probably showing up as "not registered" for now, but click on it and complete the pages>> hit "register" on the last page. The status will now be updated to "registered" and the "Display QR Code" should not be clickable for each family member>> Take a screenshot of each QR code generated and repeat the steps above for each family member added to generate their respective QR codes under a single account.
