Is Kurodake chairlift open in mid May?

Hello! We will be in Sounkyo on 20 May and plan to take the Ropeway and the chairlift to hike up to the summit. But saw some conflicting info that the chairlift may be closed. Wondering if someone could kindly verify this? Thank you!

The ski season is scheduled to last until May 7, during which the chairlift will be running.
They don't have information for beyond May 7, but I suspect that the chairlift will close for a few weeks between the ski season and the hiking season, which starts around mid to late June.
Kurodake and the hiking trail to the summit are still covered in deep snow during May, and it is not possible to hike there without winter hiking equipment and skills.
