Koyasan World Heritage Ticket from Hashimoto

To use Koyasan World Heritage Ticket, can I board at Hashimoto Station (instead of Namba Station to Koyasan station? I will be staying at Wakayama, before moving on to Koyasan? Can I also buy seat reservation on Tenku train, if I can board at Hashimoto station? Thank you.

I think you can, because the official website lists a different price for the pass including "outward express ticket" from Hashimoto (2,940 yens instead of 3,690 yens if you start from Osaka).
