Buses Kurokawa Onsen

Hello,

Do I need to book a bus from Hita to Kurokawa onsen? If so, does anyone know their phone number to an English operator? I called the Nishitetsu Bus and it went to Japanese recording.

I also want to book a bus from Kurokawa onsen to Kumamoto and from Kumamoto to the airport.

Do the above routes use the same bus company?

The bus route is cooperated by Hita Bus and Kyusanko.

I also want to book a bus from Kurokawa onsen to Kumamoto and from Kumamoto to the airport.

The bus to Kumamoto is also operated by Kyusanko:

Most airport buses are also operated by Kyusanko. Reservations are not possible.

Note that the buses from Kurokawa to Kumamoto stop at the airport along the way.

Thank you for your reply. You have always been great when I first started my trip planning in 2010. When I went to Kurokawa onsen in January 2023 I’m pretty sure I called to make a booking from Kumamoto to Kurokawa and Kurokawa Onsen to Yufuin and paid the driver before we boarded the bus. I can’t remember if I called the Sanko Bus Centre on 0963 250 100 or a different number as I tried calling it, but it went to a Japanese recording. Probably was asking me to select an option. I hung up because I couldn’t understand. I’d prefer to make a booking over the phone and pay cash to the driver. Do you know of a phone number where someone would answer other than goes to recorded voicemail.

I’d like to do the same as from Hita to Kurokawa onsen too. Do you know the phone number that goes directly to someone who answers the phone?

Hi again Uji,

According to the Kyushubusbooking .com on the Route and Stops page of Kyushu Odan Bus , it says Orange colour is for getting on only, yellow is getting on and off. I want to depart from Kumamoto station and get off at Kumamoto airport. However, Kumamoto airport is in Orange. How can I go to the airport by bus from Kumamoto if I’m not allowed to get off?

No reservation possible (did not find the info on the English website, but it's written on the Japanese page, click on the line with the 3 icons and "バスについて" and Google translate for more details: https://www.sankobus.jp/bus/ap-limousine/)

You will pay when you get off the bus (by cash if you want, but they also introduced payment by credit card).
