Gear rental for Asahidake? (mid-Sep)

I'm planning on hiking up Asahidake on 20 Sep.
I saw that gear rental was available at the Asahidake Visitor Center. And some gear are also available at Sugatami Station (after going up the ropeway).
However, I watched a few videos on youtube about climbing Asahidake, and some mentioned that there were no rentals available.
Can anyone kindly confirm whether rental is possible, and where is the rental location?

Any pointers for the hike will also be greatly appreciated. :)

The only gear you need for climbing Asahidake are hiking shoes, but I am afraid they are not available for rental. Only the following items are available for rental at the visitor center down in the village:

And only boots - not suitabke for climbing Asahidake - are available at the upper station.
