Has anyone able to do a walk-in purchase of tickets for the Icebreaker Ship Aurora in Abashiri for drift ice sightseeing, despite being shown fully booked on its website for that particular day?

The staff said walk-in availability depends a lot on the weather and group cancellations, so it's a bit of a gamble, but possible.
