Hakone or Fuji for visit in winter?

Pros or Cons of both in your experience from visiting as first-timer? Thank you in advance -

If scenic views are important to you, then I would recommend Mount Fuji, because visibility tends to be good in winter, and the clear view of the nearby mountain from the Fuji Five Lakes is spectacular even when the vegetation is barren. Meanwhile, I find the barren slopes of Hakone a little bit unattractive, although Owakudani is nice year-round.

If hot springs are important to you, then I recommend Hakone, because it has the better baths and water.

Hakone tends to be more accessible in winter, especially with frequent transport options from Tokyo. Hot springs and views of Mt. Fuji from the onsen are a highlight.
