Going by car to Fujinomiya 5th station?

Dear team, we travel to Fuji San in August and we have a car and would like to go to Fujinomiya 5th station. I read that there is no access for private cars. What is the best way to combine car and bus? Is there a parking option and a shuttle service close to the 5th station or only at the railway stations? We would like to explore other places at the same day, so it would be good to have the car as near as possible. Thank you! Regards

There is a special parking lot at the base of the final road up the the 5th station, from where there are shuttle buses:

Buses operate every hour between 5:00 (first up; 4:30 on weekends) and 18:00 (last down). They cost 2400 yen round trip, while parking costs 1500 yen when entering on a weekday or 2000 yen when entering on a weekend. A taxi ride costs 5200 yen one way (+20% during the night).
