JR Setouchi Area Pass - Ferry to Matsuyama

Hello, I plan to take the ferry from Kure to Matsuyama in February 2026, but despite on the rail pass it says it is still included, on the Ferry operator website, it says that the free ticked has been discontinued starting from this year.

which one is correct? I plan to travel from Hakata (Fukuoka) to Matsuyama and this would really pays off the pass!

Not sure what page you are looking at, but on the official website I find a relatively prominent mentioning for both the ferry and the super jet that the Setouchi Area Pass is available on these routes:

I used the pass for the ferry from Matsuyama to Hiroshima ( my ferry stopped at Kure) in late May
I was able to pay Y800 extra for the upper deck seats
