Keikyu Bus Yokohama to Haneda

Our last 2 nights in Japan will be in Yokohama (new for us), staying at a hotel at Yokohama Station Our JR Pass gets us there, but will have run out by the time we need to go to Haneda Airport We have absolutely no desire whatsoever at all to use the Keikyu train via Shinagawa: it was distressing, to say the least, (young child , scared witless by the crowding, and then demolished by an adult suitcase) last time we used it. Not happening, lol. I have found a Keikyu Bus which leaves from the YCAT station, every 10 minutes according to the website. https://www.keikyu-bus.co.jp/en/airport/h-yokohama/Given the frequency should reservations be made? I note the advice on the site that "allowance should be made for road conditions" , and yes, I have noted the ones which do actually go to Haneda Terminal 3 So if needed, reservations at the YCAT station somewhere?

Reservations cannot be made for these airport buses. You just board them first-come first-serve. Note that there are also direct trains between Yokohama and Haneda Airport, which - outside of rush hours - should not be too distressing.

Thank you Uji, as always. Are the trains from Yokohama different to that which goes from Shinagawa? Would these have seating? The Airport carriages in the one from Shinagawa was all standing, no seats. It will be the same time of day as last time (same flight) so arriving at Haneda 3 around 1.30pm for a 16.40pm flight.

The same type of train sets, operated by the same company.
Would these have seating?
Yes, but they are all unreserved.
The Airport carriages in the one from Shinagawa was all standing, no seats.
I have never heard of a train like that (except for some experimental cars on the Yamanote Line, which would be all-standing during rush hours in the past).

Thanks again, Uji. At Shinagawa there were only 2 carriages on the train going on to the airport The lines to get on them were marked with airport signs, and on boarding there were no seats in those carriages: or maybe if there were they were folded up against the side of the train, I can't remember, but I do know the child and I were pushed full onto the window on one side. Hence our surprise! We were expecting something like the Narita Express, lol.
OK so hopefully getting on in Yokohama we can get seats
Thanks Uji, your advice is always so much appreciated.

Hmm… you had a very strange train from Shinagawa. Normally the train from shinagawa to Haneda is a normal commuter train. So not like NEX , but also cheaper. No reserved seats though. Thus the bus sounds like a good idea.

Thanks @Like Bike We just thought it was what it was. There were 4 of us...worst train experience in Japan, ever, hence my concern. However , it wasn't for all that long....and if it hadn't been for the effect on the little girl sandwiched with me against the window it may not have been remembered as so traumatic. Shall decide on train v bus when we are actually in Yokohama, and see how far away the YCAT is with luggage v train etc (we are older tourists...)
Thanks again

Have you considered a hotel in Minato Mirai district? I once stayed at Yokohama Grand Intercontinental and took a bus to Haneda airport from there. This bus can be reserved and was quite nice. The hotel is somewhat distant from Minato Mirai subway station, but the route is all inside the buildings and very comfortable. The hotel by itself is nice, somewhat dated, but rather affordable as compared to the same class hotels in Tokyo.
