Hi, I'm visiting Hokkaido during the second half of June 2026 (15th to 30th) and would like to know when and were it might be possible to attend a Kabuki (or No) show with a minimum explanations/translation during the performance. Any idea or travel agency to point me to ? Thanks in advance

I don't know if this will be helpful, but Kabuki and Noh is most prevalent in areas with a deep long Japanese history.
Hokkaido only officially became a part of Japan in 1869 so finding these institutions are quite rare as a result.
If there is one such place, I'd search in Sapporo or Hakodate which has a large population.
Finding a place also with some English translations (if that's what you were also asking for) will make it even more difficult to find.
A good example of Bunraku, which would only really has a good place with English translations which is found in Osaka.

Thank you for your reactivity. I anticipated your answer but didn't want to miss any opportunity. I'll retain this option for a future stay in Honshu and focus, this time, on the beautiful Hokkaido nature. Kindest regards
