Unreserved Bus to Shirakawa-go

Hi guys, I'm planning to do a trip from Osaka to Shirakawa-go and stay a night at Takayama. Currently, I just bought the JR Takayama Hokuriku Pass, so I will be using the Thunderbird Shinkansen from Osaka to Kanazawa at 13 November and take the Nohi Bus to Shirakawa-go and Takayama. Unfortunately, I need to do the reservation of the bus by call and I just check on the online reservation, all the bus booked on that day. Is there any unreserved bus that I can take to go to Shirakawa-go and Takayama and vice versa? I plan to go back to Osaka on 14 November from Takayama to Kanazawa but the bus I saw from website are full.

Kaetsuno bus operates "World Heritage bus" from Shin-Takaoka to Shirakawago.

From Shirakawago to Takayama the buses do not require reservation.

Ifm sorry but I donft know the current congestion about The World Heritage bus.

You can reserve tickets for this line, but your Takayama Hokuriku Area tourist pass may not apply to the online booking system. I believe the pass is valid for both The World Heritage bus and the highway bus operated by Kaetsuno bus though. You may better contact with their telephone. They may know the current congestion on The World Heritage bus.

What time do you plan to leave from Kanazawa for Shirakawago on 11/13?

I just looked at the highway bus booking site, and there are still tickets available from Kanazawa to Shirakawago at 11:10 and 13:00 on 11/13. (There must be more available, but I only looked at 2 departures.)

As soon as you arrive at Shirakawago, go to the ticket office to buy your ticket for Takayama, because some departures may have already sold out. That way, you'll know how much time you have to explore Shirakawago.
