Sakura in Himeji

Just came back from Hokkaido where we could enjoy the peak of fall colours and heavy snowfall in Otaru . Amazing .
For our last trip to Japan next year (our sixth) we plan to catch the Sakura in Western Honshu . What would be the best time slot for sakura at Himeji Castle ? Thanks

It is usually early April. But it varies from year to year, and somewhat meaningful forecasts won't be available until around early March.
