Domestic connection 2025/12/6 13:15
My flight from Singapore will arrive Haneda's Terminal 3 at 9.55 am with a connection for Sapporo at 11.30am. Will the 1.5 hours be sufficient for the connection after having to go through immigration, luggage collection, re-check-in and taking the shuttle to Terminal 1?

To confirm, the landing time for your flight from Singapore is 9:55 AM, and your flight to Sapporo is scheduled to take off at 11;30? I'd say that's an incredibly tight window to get off the plane, go through immigration, wait for your bags, go through customs, switch terminals, and then check in for your flight and check in your bags. Haneda is generally pretty good about being well-staffed and keeping the lines for all of those flowing smoothly, but that's a lot to try to cram into an hour and a half.

I would say that it's tight but probably doable. If all the flights are with ANA and the ticket was purchased as a trip to Sapporro with a change at Haneda I'd say leave it to ANA. If the flights were bought separately I'd almost certainly try to move to a later onward flight.

As I have said before I've done that airport transit with a bicycle in my luggage in just under an hour but it was a very close run thing that would not have worked without a lot of help from JAL staff & would not want to repeat the experience.

One thing the JAL staff told me was that the monorail is a faster way to get between terminals and I was given a free ticket to use it.

That's tight, but if both flights are on the same ticket, I would not worry. Worst case, you will be put on the next flight for Sapporo, free of charge.

Ah yeah I should have mentioned, as Stan did, that if you reserved the flights together in a single booking with the same carrier, then you'll probably be OK. Carriers don't usually allow for you to make single bookings combining flights where the transfer time is too short to be feasible. If you really are concerned, though, you ight want to contact the carrier and double check that they think you'll have enough time, just to put your mind at ease.

Thanks for the responses. FYI I am booked on JAL for both Tokyo and connection to Sapporo. Wouldn't there be a JAL staff as you get off the plane to guide you on your connecting flight? Thanks.

Follow those instructions and you will be fine one way or another. If you mention your connection to a member of JAL staff they will help. in the worst case JAL will put you on the next flight so you will get to Sapporo that day.
