What's open on New Year (Osaka) 2025/12/15 05:46
This year we are planning to stay in the Osaka/Kobe/Kyoto area on New Yearfs Day. In the past when we were in Tokyo, we would go to Odaiba knowing that the shops and restaurants are mostly opened compared to other Tokyo locations.

Is there a similar place in Osaka regions to hang out for the whole day with most of the shops/restaurants still opened? We will be based in Osaka, but can also visit Kobe/Kyoto if therefs a concentration of shops thatfs open on the first. Actually planning to stay in Kyoto for a day as well but not sure if itfs better to do it before 1/1 or on 1/1 if most restaurants will be closed. Thanks!

I don't know much about Kansai nor am I a foreign tourist, but I Googled "Is there a district in Osaka/Kobe/Kyoto area with more restaurants open on new year's day?" in English language and AI immediately gave me an answer which seems reliable enough, in my humble Japanese resident's opinion.
