Still snow at Ginza Onsen in early April?

Hi! Does it generally still snow at Ginza Onsen in early April? if so how much?

We'd love to see snow there, but are trying to work out if it would be better ok to go in early April of if we could only go mid march.

Assuming you mean Ginzan Onsen in Yamagata Prefecture, and not some bathhouse in Tokyo's Ginza neighborhood, snow in early April is unlikely. Exact conditions vary by year, but usually March is as late as you're likely to see snow accumulated on the ground in Ginzan Onsen. I suppose there's an off chance of a snow day in April, but it probably won't be like the wintertime photos you see of the place where everything is blanketed in snow.
