Kobe Airport Immigration

Since mid 2025 Kobe Aiport also has interational flights. Has anyone experienced immigration there yet? In typical arrival ports like NRT, HND, KIX or FUK immigration for visitors is usually slow and takes 30-60 Minutes. Since Kobe Airport is small and has few international flights my hope is it could be much faster?

That is probably the case but there may also be fewer immigration officers also. Also the big factor is how many other international flights arrive around the same time as yours.If there are a couple of flights then you may be at the back of the queue. I arrived at KIX from Hong Kong at 0630 in the morning in late december and there was no one in the immigration queue so walked straight up to the immigration officer. Even with 10min waking for bags I was out and had bought a train ticket 30 minutes after getting onto stand. I have avoided peak times arriving at HND but even then been out in 30 to 45 mins ( and I have been waiting that long just for baggage at UK airports for comparison.
