Does Kita Onsen allow tattoos

Hello, I have a friend with some tattoos. Would Kita onsen allowed this if the tattoos were to be covered? I can't speak Japanese thus posting it here. Please help

I can't speak Japanese, so I can't speak with them through phone. And, I can't seem to find their email. Is there anyway that this can be done? I have a friend with tattoos so I would need to know if that's being allowed in the onsen.

I'm saying that their official English-language User Guide, of the link I posted, doesn't mention anything about forbidding tattoos, which means you won't be doing anything against its regulations. The facility is in the middle of nowhere, so it makes sense.

But as you can see, they do have a fax number as well as an Instagram account where you can send direct messages to in case you need to be confirmed. And if language is your only problem, you can phone and just ask, "Tattoo okay?" and they would give you a yes or no. Another option is to contact the Japan National Tourism Organization.

It's a pleasant drive up to Kita Onsen, so if it so happens you end up being declined, you still can enjoy the ride.
