Tokyo to Hakone - base fare tickets

Hello, We just bought the Limited Express train tickets from Tokyo to Hakone on Emot. However, the site said that we need the base fare tickets. Where do we get that? On Emot web site, there is no indication about the base fare. Please help. Thank you.

You can pay the base fare with a paper ticket, credit card or IC card (such as Suica or Pasmo).
Alternatively, the base fare is covered by the Hakone Freepass:

When I wrote "by credit card", I meant by tapping the credit card on the ticket gate like explained here:
