Need some advice on the coverage area. I'll be using this pass for Hakata to Kokura/ Mojiko and 2nd day will cover the following area below.
1. Does this pass cover to a. Uminokamichi ? As I plan to visit the flower park. b. To Nanzoin Temple? As I researched getting to Nanzoin Temple is to take Jr train to Kidonanzoin-mae station, correct? Is this pass cover to this section? AI told me it's covered.
2. I understand this pass can cover Meinohama -karatsu . I'm confused if I need to get out of the train and change, as the Japan Transit Planner shows no transfer. Continue with JR Chikuhi line to Karatsu. Understand the Hakata to Meinohama portion I have to pay as it by subway. How do I tap the IC card for exit?
I'm travelling this weekend to Fukuoka. Thanks for your kind input Regards Christine

Yes.

Yes, yes, yes.

Yes, Meinohana-Karatsu is covered, but the subway to Meinohana is not. You will need to buy a separate ticket for the subway part. If you use an IC card for that section, you would have to tap out at Meinohana Station and re-enter with your Fukuoka Wide Pass in order to avoid complications.
As for direct trains: most subway trains end at Meinohana, but there are some rare ones that go directly to Karatsu.

As mentioned, it is only good for the JR trains (not shinkansen), and not for the subway. Nanzoin is easy - it is right across the street from the station. https://youtu.be/lT4VQFmHFyMIf you have the time in the city, the Tochoji Temple next to the Gion subway station is also worth seeing.

JR Kyushu runs 1 - 3 Chikuhi Line trains (direct from subway line) per hour, bound for Chikuzen Maebaru, which has a connecting train bound for Karatsu or Nishi Karatsu. JR Kyushu station timetable shows which one has a connection. Subway station has also similar announcement when the train enters the platform.
