I think the poster is looking for somesort of museum or showroom chronically the history of nintendo or with the leastest showrooms, like the Sony in Ginza, and the Panasonic building in Odaiba.

I don't think one exists 2006/2/21 15:00
I spent a solid year researching places to take my teenaged son (who is a big Nintendo, Sony, gamer and anime/manga fan) in Tokyo and I never saw any reference to a Nintendo museum...

NES 2006/3/28 00:27
TY guys, I'll check out that district, Eileen. buying obscure nintendo merchandise is on my itinerary.
And yeps, i would love a museum of nintendo or anywhere that might showcase nintendo history/inovations etc.
It would be great if a Nintendo theme park made one day, with huge yoshi's walking around :)

Pokemon Center 2008/4/28 10:04
When I was staying in Tokyo last month I noticed there was a place called the Pokemon Center right near JR Hamamatsucho station. I didn't visit it but noticed it when I walked past the station a few times. It was pretty easy to spot with Pokemon images on the outside.

hi, any updates on this? is now a "nintendo center" somewhere?

Also, I couldn't find that "Pokemon center" near JR Hamamatsucho station mentioned in the previous post.

and also! does Nintendo building in Kyoto open to the public any kind of exposition or something? or is it definitely closed for the public?

I'm not certain, but I think the Nintendo Headquarters is in my town in Kyoto. We have a huge Nintendo building, and someone told me a long time ago that this is the headquarters. But it is just a huge office building, and possibly dispatch centre. So like any other office building, I presume it is not open to the public. And doesnt look like there is anything there to see anyway, it is just an office building.
