How do I get to Grinpa Amusement Park?

Hi there. I would like to bring my two young children to Grinpa Amusement Park. We will be staying in Shinjuku - what is the easiest and most convenient way to get there? Many thanks!

Been there recently - Took the Odakyu Romance Car to Gotemba (seem to be more convenient than Mishima), then took a bus. It is very important to take note of the bus timing and set off early, since there may only be one bus going there in the morning and a returning bus in the evening. The bus trip is about an hour, 2 way tickets and 1 day admission pass cost 3950yen. So it will cost alot to bring a family if you add the cost of train tickets.

Note the opening hours: 11am-4pm, so if you missed the early morning bus. Also the amusement park closes earlier before the bus pick you up on return trip, but there is a waiting area outside the admission booth.

I am a big Sylvanian Families fan and was certainly thrilled by the experience there. Also if you intend to make huge purchase of Sylvanian merchandise do note that the park only accepts cash.
