Verizon Wireless RAZR V3M,work in Japan?

I am finally going to Tokyo, Japan with my Grandma and Aunties, and I am going to be gone for 3 weeks, and I wanted to talk to my boyfriend while I was gone, because he is not going with me.


I have Verizon Wireless
& a V3M Mortorolla RAZR

If this doesn't work, what am I able to use. (What is recommended.)

I just hung up with a Verizon Wireless Global representative and as of October 1, 2008 CDMA phones can be used in Japan with roaming charges, of course.
