Here is a list of Russian restaurants in Tokyo. Click the names to see their addresses and phone numbers. http://e-food.jp/cgi-bin/restfind/view.cgi?fo=ruI often go to Rogovski and I've also been to Sarafan. They are both very good and are very old. But then I'm not Russian, so I'm not sure how natives would think. The list tells us that all the workers at Baikal are Russian. Sungari and Larousse are also old, and Manos seems to be popular as well. Bon appetite!

Thank you, Uco, for your suggestions. Manos is the restaurant that I remember from way back in the 60's. I think it had moved from Shibuya to the Akasaka area. However, the website that you included is no longer operational - at least according to my computer. Can you provided me with the address or telephone number of Manos Thank you!

Hello, How about "Russia-tei" in Jimbo-cho?(book town) It is located on Suzuran dori(street.) It's small but a cozy place. I knew this person(prof.from my univ.) who used to live in Russia for a few years. He took us to this restaurant. 03-5280-3753 http://r.gnavi.co.jp/fl/en/a197500/index.htm

I wouldn't recommend you visit restaurant "Baikal" on Roppongi. I was there in May during my trip. Waitress were very rude, one of them stopped listen to my boyfriend and asked me in Russian what we're going to eat. Of course, i may understand that it's easier to talk with your native language, but we were in Japan! And more than that, after all two of them started discuss their manager using rude words... I was really ashamed about it.
Well, food was not bad, but in my opinioun - too oily... Though the cook is Russian, and meal are pretty native.
