More Than One JR Pass Allowed?

I will be in Japan for 26 days. I have figured out that purchasing one 14 day JRRail Pass and another 7 day pass is my cheapest option. This works because there are several days in between when we are planning to rent a car. But is this allowed? I can't find anything pro or con.
Uji - thank you for all the help you have been giving me. I truely appreciate it.
Thank you - Eve

There is no limit on how many nationwide Japan Rail Passes you can buy. I once bought and used three 3-week passes within a 3-month stay in Japan.

You can buy as many vouchers as you want. Just remember you need to purchase the vouchers before going to Japan.

Plese note that the 14-day pass is for a consecutive 14 days, that is, you cannot break it up.You probably know this but just in case you are not aware.
