ski bag storage at tokyo station 2007/7/29 16:54
We would like to leave our ski bag at Toyko Station while we visit Kyoto for a few days. Could anyone please confirm if the following information posted in a 2004 forum is still correct...

"You can leave luggage at Tokyo station's lost and found/parcel office. The office is a part of the station, but you must use the Yaesu exit and walk around the outside of the station to find the office. Just look for signs for lost and found to help you find the way. Each bag costs a little less than 500 yen a day."

Thankyou

It is called "Shinkansen Rail-Go Service 新幹線レールゴーサービス" and they keep your luggage (including Ski bag) up to 15 days. But price doubles from Day 6. No reservation is necessary.

Cost
(Day1 - Day5) 410 yen/luggage
(Day6 - ) 820 yen/luggage

Get out from Yaesu Minamiguchi Exit. Turn right and office is ahead of ATM corners.

Are people not taking the Shinkansen allowed to use this Rail Go service?

Thanks!
