Currency Exchange in Japan 2007/8/4 04:29
Hallo everybody!
I am going to Japan in September, and I have some Chinese yuans with me. Will I be able to exchange the Chinese currency to Japanese Yens in Japan?

You need to check the rates you can get in your own country. The exchange rates for foreign currencies in Japan is often not very good, except for USD or Euro.

For example, if you have $1000 USD, and you exchange for yen at Tokyo Mistubishi bank, you will get 114,990 yen in cash.

The equivalent in Euro would buy 115,062 yen in cash.

However, if you have the equivalent in Australian dollars, it will buy only 108,120 yen in cash.

However, if you have the equivalent in British Pounds, it will buy only 109,448 yen in cash.

The exchange rate is bad on all but the most popular currencies.
