Night Train Tokyo to Hakata 2007/8/7 17:04
Is there one where you don't have to pay a supplement with a JR pass? How long does it take? I read 17 hours at night, but if you take the daytime hikari, it is only 6 hours???
I am so confused.

No, no direct ones.

How long does it take?

16 hours.

The hikari is a shinkansen (high speed trains), while the night trains are regular trains.
