Cell phone plans?

We recently bought cellphones at Softbank but now I'm confused about the plans...We signed up for the ''White plan,'' as well as internet and email packages but it seems to be Yahoo only in Japanese. We also signed up for Insurance, and now I'm thinking that may be a waste of money? (almost 500yen per month) As you may have guessed, we have just arrived here!

I don't understand your question.
Did you get a softbank email address ...@softbank.ne.jp
I've used softbank before I think you can just enter the URL to the english yahoo mobile site and use the internet in english just fine.

Just confirming what John said. I own a softbank phone, it's possible to surf in English with no problem - if you can't find what John said, there is also a direct-input URL option on the phone itself under the Yahoo! Keitai category.
