Where did you see it? It seems to be used as part of some names of shrines, where in the olden times people parked their "kago" - hand-carried "palaquin" vehicle - for the night. But then in that case the word 籠守 seems to be read "komori," not "kagomori." Going by the kanji characters, it literally means "kago (palaquin) guard."

Well, it's from fantasy. Evil spirits possesion and so on. They speak about this "kagomori" and I can't get what they mean. I thought maybe it's something from the japanese folklore or mystic traditions?
