Hi, I have worked out an itenary for my Japan trip and I need help on the following questions...
1. Is the itenary sound and logical. Is there a better arrangement
2. From Fukushima, is there a Shinkansen to Osaka and how long does it take. Is there alternative suggestion.
3. I intend to stay in Osaka for 3 days and travel to Kyoto and Nara for day visit. Is this a good arrangement as I do not want to move from hotel to hotel. Which hotel will be conveniently located for me to travel around.
4. I intend to book guided land tour when in Osaka and Hiroshima. Do I have to book ahead or is it easy to make booking when I am there. How do I do that.
5. I arrived in Tokyo before travelling to Fukushima for my 2 night stay at Adashiya Ryosan. Is there any suggestion to leave my big luggage in locker at the train station or somewhere convenient for me to pick up on my way to Osaka.
6. Please let me know if I should add time to any interesting place as I can spare another 2 days in Japan.
7. I chose Adashiya Ryokan after watching Japan Hour TV show recommendation but please let me know if you think there's something just as nice and more convenient for foreigners like me as I think communication is going to be a big problem for me with the staff there. I called up and nobody speaks English!
My Itenary
Day 1 : Arrive in Tokyo Narita, travel to Fukushima Adachiya Ryosan directlt by Rail. Day 2 : spend time around Tokohu. Day 3 : Depart for Osaka from Fukishima Day 4 and 5 : Spend time in Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara Day 6 : Depart for Hiroshima Day 6 and 7 : spend time in Hiroshima and Miyajima Day 8 : Depart for Tokyo Day 9 and 10 : spend time in Tokyo
Thank you very much for your help

Is the itenary sound and logical. Is there a better arrangementIt is very packed, especially the days in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. I assume that you arrive early enough to make it all the way to the ryokan on your first day. From Fukushima, is there a Shinkansen to Osaka and how long does it take. Is there alternative suggestion.Yes, you can take shinkansen via Tokyo. You could also fly. I intend to stay in Osaka for 3 days and travel to Kyoto and Nara for day visit. It looks more like 2, maybe 2.5 days to me. Is this a good arrangement as I do not want to move from hotel to hotel.Yes. Nara and Kyoto are easily reached from Osaka. Which hotel will be conveniently located for me to travel around. The Hilton Osaka: http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/OSAHITW-Hilton-Osaka-hotel/index.doIs there any suggestion to leave my big luggage in locker at the train station or somewhere convenient for me to pick up on my way to Osaka. You could either use a locker, the baggage storage counter or send your luggage from teh airport directly to your hotel in Osaka, using a delivery service: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2278.html
