Australian - Japanese Work Visa

I have emailed the Japanese embassy in Australia about working visas as im confused about how it works, my interpretation was that if i get a working visa i can go to Japan for 6 months and possibly get it extended by another 6 months, but from the sounds of it that makes it seems like thats the end, as in i cant apply for another visa ever again? Can anyone confirm or deny this because this may very well affect my career choice! Any info anyone could give me would be much appreciated!

You seem to refer to the "working holiday visa", which is different from the regular work visa:

Indeed, there is a limit on how many times you can use/extend a working holiday visa, but there is no such limit in case of regular work visas.
