Asakusa to Ueno

I will be staying in a hostel in Asakusa's Sumida district. Is it possible to walk from there to the Ueno Zoo? I only have a map as my guide, and I have absolutely no idea how far they are from each other.

What do you mean with Asakusa's Sumida district? Most of Asakusa is located in Taito-ku. Sumida-ku is just across the river from Asakusa. I will assume that you are based in central Asakusa.
You can walk from there to Ueno Zoo in about 30-45 minutes. It is about 2.5 kilometers.

The Daiichi Ryogoku Hotel is located about 1.5 kilometers south of Asakusa. If you want to walk to Ueno, add an additional 20-30 minutes to the above mentioned time.
