Hairdressing in Japan 2007/8/29 00:00
Hi there,
I'm an English hairdresser, and will be moving to Japan with my wife(Japanese) next year. I am wondering what qualification do I need for the permission to work in Japan as a hairdresser? Thanx

Scott,

If your wife is a Japanese national, then you qualify for a spouse visa. You can apply for this at the Japanese Embassy in the UK. A spouse visa entitles you to live and work in Japan with basically no restrictions. Whether you will be able to find work as a hairdresser is a different matter. I don't know what qualifications are required, but Japanese language ability would obviously be a great help.
