What do wives do while we men meet? 2007/9/6 07:12
While we two Americans meet with our Japanese business associates in Niiza-shi, Saitama, will our wives be able to shop or go to museums??

Unless you have them under somesort of house arrest, yes they can shop, go visit museums, its not too far from Tokyo if they are adventurous to trek into Tokyo for more shopping and sights.

Jim,

If you are asking whether they ought to accompany you to your meetings, then the answer is most likely no.
There is not really much of interest in Niiza, though, so, as John says, they would probably have more fun exploring in Tokyo itself.

how about this? 2007/9/7 22:00
The quaint little town of Kawagoe is only about 30 minutes by train from Niiza and might be a good place to explore. Search the travel section of this Japan Guide for information about Kawagoe & how to get there.
