Grocery Budget?

I'd like to hear from a few people how much you budget for groceries. It's me and two boys. We would eat mostly Japanese style, at home if it's cheaper, with an occasional splurge at a restaruant. Can't live around all those great restarants and not eat out once in a while. Thanks.

The budget in our household is 35,000 Yen per person and month. This includes food, other household products, cat food and one or two meals in moderately priced restaurants.

we spend 20,000yen a month, not including beer/wine(12,000 mo.)
eating out 1 to 3 times a week runs about 15,000 a mo.
once a month visit to a yakinikyu restaurant runs 20,000 to 30,000
