How much would it cost a ride in Shinkansen from Tokyo to Yuzawa? I would just want some snow for December and I think Yuzawa is the nearest to Tokyo. or unless you have another place in mind which wouldn't cost me much. I will be travelling with my husband & 5yr old kid.

The one way fare is about 6000 Yen for adults. A round trip costs twice that. Children under the age of 6 travel for free unless they occupy a reserved seat, in which they travel half price.

If you use the website refered by Robyn, you will need to enter "echigoyuzawa" as the station name for Yuzawa.
