I am going to be visiting Tokyo during the New Year to get married and wanted to know what days that the government offices will be closed. We are staying in Nakano-ku,Tokyo and we will be doing all of our marriage paper work there. If anyone could help me out, I would really appreciate it! Thank you, Sarah

Generally speaking, government offices are closed from Dec 29th to Jan 3rd. If you're Japanese couple, they can accept your marrige registration form even during this period but I strongly doubt if they do it for non-Japanese couples. In the first place, it is not usual for traveling non-Japanese to submit official marriage form to Japanese government offices.
