Kansai / Kanto voltage

I moved from Kansai to Kanto area. My alarm clock worked fine but in Kanto it's around 4 minutes slow per hour.
Anything I can do to remedy this? I think it's the voltage difference. I put a battery in but no luck. Help please!

The electricity's voltage is the same, but the frequency is slightly different. But I doubt that this is the reason for the problem. Maybe it got damaged when you were moving.

Frequency difference

Cheeze,
Electrical devices with internal clocks or timers often work differently in eastern and western Japan because of the mains frequency difference, although applicances often have a 50/60Hz selector switch these days. But since you say the problem continued even when using batteries, it does appear that this may not have been the cause.
