Chocolate Pudding? 2007/10/24 13:40
Do Japanese people like baked chocolate pudding?

Would it be a good idea for my daughter to cook some for her host family as a gift/treat when she stays with them?

Would she be able to find the ingredients? eg: SR flour, cocoa etc

Do they have an oven? 2007/10/26 08:00
I'm sure they would like it, but a lot of Japanese households don't have ovens- a potential problem. You will need to make sure they have a reasonable sized oven first, and not just a toaster oven- too small and not hot enough for baking cakes.

Cocoa powder is available in most supermarket (VanHouten is the most popular/common).
SR flour is not so common, you need to buy flour and baking powder separately.
