Dokkodo - old and new writing

Hi,

I have an interest on Musashi's last work, as some of you might recognize, the Dokkodo. Well, it's just about 21 (or 19 in some versions) phrases and i like one in particular.

Michi ni oite wa shi wo itowazu omou

It stands roughly for "Do not avoid death during life" but some translate it simply as "Do not fear death".

Anyway, the original manuscript written by Musashi was preserved and in it the い is written in a funny way that i can't identify and he writes the wa as 八. Actually, this kanji looks more like the one used for paws, which i reckon is read as ha or wa (sorry but i couldn't find it in the program i'm using for characters).
And in omou (to think) he uses ふ when i thought it would be う

My question is, if i write like this: 道においては死をいおわず思う　
it's correct by today's standards, right?

Old writing:
道におゐてハ　死を　いとわす　思ふ
In modern writing:
道においては　死を　いとわず 思う

- ゐ is an old hiragana.
- The particle "は" was written with a katakana ハ.
- いとわず was written as いとわす (without the small "dots" on the shoulder on "su")
- 思ふ was the old writing for 思う
